windows computer, don't freak out. Here are the top causes of slow internet,
and some effective solutions will help restore your internet to full speed.

the Background That Are Utilizing Your Bandwidth
Problem: Sometimes the application is running
in the background and using all the bandwidth, which makes browsing or
streaming very slow.

- Open Task Manager using Ctrl + Shift + Esc and then click on
the Processes tab, where you can see the applications that are using high
bandwidth.

Delivery Optimization permits your computer to update itself by uploading
updates to other PCs around. This might be performing in cracking on the
internet.

Settings > Update & Security
> Delivery Optimization.

PCs.
3. Update Network Drivers

corrupted drivers which may worsen the connection speed and stability.

computer to allow Windows to reinstall it.
4. Change Wi-Fi Settings
Problem: If you're on Wi-Fi, a weak signal or
crowded Wi-Fi channel will lower speeds.
Solution:
Move Closer to the Router: Physical distance weakens the signal
strength.
- Change Wi-Fi Channel: Log into your
router and change the channel to a less busy one; for example, 1, 6, or 11 on
the 2.4GHz band.
- Migrate to 5GHz Wi-Fi: If supported,
it is generally faster but of shorter range; best used closer to the router,
therefore.
5. Flush DNS Cache
Problem: An outdated DNS cache may cause slow
connections to websites, which may result in slower browsing speeds.
Solution:
Open Command Prompt as administrator.
In the command prompt, type "ipconfig /flushdns" and
hit Enter. This will clear your DNS cache and may improve connection speed to
websites.
6. Limit Bandwidth Usage on Windows
Update
Problem: Windows updates may download
themselves automatically and consume bandwidth in the background by using it
whenever they feel like doing so, thus affecting your browsing speed.
Solution:
-Settings/ Update & Security/Advanced
options/Delivery Optimization/Advanced options.
- Limit download and upload bandwidth
for Windows Update.

an older router or internet plan that does not fit your needs.
Solution
- Call Your ISP: Upgrade because your current
subscription plan is too low for your needs.
- Upgrade Your Router: Newer routers have better speeds and
ranges in addition to added stability.
