Windows 11 24H2 Update Issues: Problems & Solutions

 



The latest update Windows 11 24H2 - brings some important features and system improvements. But many users have to face some unexpected issues like:

·         Boot loops

·         Slow performance

·         Missing taskbar

Common Error After Windows 11 24H2 Update

1. Boot Loop

     PC keeps restarting or gets stuck in a restart cycle.

     The taskbar is invisible, unclickable, or delayed.

4. Start Menu or Settings Not Working

How to Fix the Mentioned Issues

1. Boot Loop Fix
Startup Repair

·         Force shut down the PC 3 times to trigger recovery mode.

·         Go to Advanced Options > Startup Repair.

·         Follow on-screen instructions to repair boot configuration.

Safe Mode

·         Boot into Safe Mode via recovery options.

·         Go to Settings > Windows Update > Update history.

·         Ensure all taskbar items are enabled.

Re-register Taskbar via PowerShell

·         Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

·         Run as administrator and reboot your PC.

 

4. Start Menu or Settings Not Working

Open PowerShell as Admin, then run:

sfc /scannow

This will scan and repair corrupted system files.

Then run:

       DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

       Reboot your system afterward.

 

Roll Back the Update

If you still face the same issues, you can uninstall the 24H2 update:

·         Go to Settings > Windows Update > Update History

·         Click Uninstall updates

·         Select the 24H2 update and uninstall it

This must be done within 10 days of installation, or the rollback option will expire.
